TOWN OF ORIENTA
REGULAR BOARD MEETING
December 13, 2025

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 am by Chairman Mark Hoefling. Members present: Hoefling, Supervisors James Bailey and Troy Kavajecz, Clerk Clyde Clauson and Treasurer John Tribys.

Approval of the Agenda: Kavajecz moved, Bailey seconded approval of the agenda. Motion carried.

Pledge of Allegiance

Minutes: Motion by Bailey, second by Kavajecz to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting of November 8, 2025. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: General fund – $218,307.64, highway fund – $18,551.80 for a total cash on hand of $236,859.44. Motion by Kavajecz, second by Bailey to receive the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.

Road Report: Activities – graded roads, winter-readied equipment, cemetery clean-up, other maintenance as needed.

Citizen’s Input: One concern discussed.

OLD BUSINESS

1. Ambulance Report: Mark gave the report.

NEW BUSINESS

1. Employee Recognition: The board recognized the town’s employees for their exemplary work this past year.
2. Town Poll Worker List: Bailey moved, Kavajecz seconded approval of the 2026-2027 poll worker list. Motion carried.
3. Fire Truck Decommissioning: The Port Wing Fire Department will be considering decommissioning the fire truck currently housed in the town garage.

INFORMATION: Wisconsin Department of Revenue and Transportation correspondences and a new county ordinance was shared.

Payment of Vouchers: Vouchers were signed, and bills were paid.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors will be Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Following a motion, the meeting was adjourned.
