TOWN OF ORIENTA
REGULAR BOARD MEETING
February 8, 2025

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 am by Chairman Mark Hoefling. Members present: Hoefling, Supervisors Troy Kavajecz and James Bailey, Clerk Clyde Clauson and Treasurer John Tribys.

Approval of the Agenda: Bailey moved, Kavajecz seconded approval of the agenda. Motion carried.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

Minutes: Motion by Kavajecz, second by Bailey to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting of January 11, 2025. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: General fund – $621,291.88, highway fund – $42,312.88 for a total cash on hand of $663,604.76. Motion by Bailey, second by Kavajecz to receive the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.

Road Report: Activities – plowing, additional ditching on East Sorenson, other maintenance of machinery as needed.

Citizen’s Input / Guest Speaker: None

OLD BUSINESS
Ambulance Report: The Board reviewed South Shore Ambulance’s annual report.

NEW BUSINESS
Website: Discussion was held regarding the revitalization of Orienta’s website so public notices and information would be available.

INFORMATION: Timber permits and the DNR payment-in-lieu of taxes were shared.

Payment of Vouchers: Vouchers were signed, and bills were paid.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors will be Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Following a motion, the meeting was adjourned.
