TOWN OF ORIENTA
REGULAR BOARD MEETING
March 8, 2025

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 am by Chairman Mark Hoefling. Members present: Hoefling, Supervisor Troy Kavajecz, Clerk Clyde Clauson and Treasurer John Tribys. Supervisor James Bailey was excused absent.

Approval of the Agenda: Kavajecz moved, Hoefling seconded approval of the agenda. Motion carried.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

Minutes: Motion by Kavajecz, second by Hoefling to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting of February 8, 2025. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: General fund – $222,328.33, highway fund – $35,419.22 for a total cash on hand of $257,747.55. Motion by Hoefling, second by Kavajecz to receive the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.

Road Report: Activities – plowing, dragging roads, additional ditching on East Sorenson, other maintenance of machinery as needed.

OLD BUSINESS
Ambulance Report: Mark gave the report.

NEW BUSINESS
Zoning: Kavajecz moved, Hoefling seconded approval of the request by the Goldens for shoreline stabilization and reclamation. Motion carried.
South Shore Ambulance Contract: Kavajecz moved, Hoefling seconded approval of the 2025 South Shore Ambulance contract. Motion carried.

INFORMATION: DNR Forest Tax Law and Bayfield County ordinance changes were shared.

Payment of Vouchers: Vouchers were signed, and bills were paid.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors will be Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Following a motion, the meeting was adjourned.
