TOWN OF ORIENTA
REGULAR BOARD MEETING
June 13, 2026
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 am by Chairman Mark Hoefling. Members present: Hoefling, Supervisors James Bailey and Troy Kavajecz, Clerk Clyde Clauson and Treasurer John Tribys.
Approval of the Agenda: Kavajecz moved, Bailey seconded approval of the agenda. Motion carried.
Pledge of Allegiance
Minutes: Motion by Bailey, second by Kavajecz to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting of May 9, 2026. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: General fund – $257,884.62, highway fund – $38,415.85 for a total cash on hand of $296,300.47. Motion by Bailey, second by Kavajecz to receive the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
Road Report: Activities – grading roads, spreading gravel and ditching; other maintenance as needed.
OLD BUSINESS
- Ambulance Report: Mark gave the report.
NEW BUSINESS
- Grader Repairs: Kavajecz moved, Bailey seconded to accept the McCoy bid to repair the grader. Motion carried.
INFORMATION: Notices regarding county forest road grants, cutting permits, county bike & pedestrian trails, and the salt shed inspection were shared with the board.
Payment of Vouchers: Vouchers were signed, and bills were paid.
The next regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors will be Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Following a motion, the meeting was adjourned at 8:55 am.
