January 2025 Minutes
Town of Orienta Regular Board Meeting January 11, 2025
The meeting was called to order at 8:15 am by Chairman Mark Hoefling. Members present: Hoefling, Supervisors Troy Kavajecz and James Bailey, Clerk Clyde Clauson and Treasurer John Tribys.
Approval of the Agenda: Kavajecz moved, Bailey seconded approval of the agenda. Motion carried.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
Minutes: Motion by Bailey, second by Kavajecz to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting of December 14, 2024. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: General fund – $135,930.12, highway fund – $388.81 for a total cash on hand of $136,318.93. Motion by Bailey, second by Kavajecz to receive the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
Road Report: Activities – spread salt/sand on ice as well as scratching ice with blades, ditching on East Sorenson, other maintenance of machinery as needed.
Citizen’s input/Guest speaker: None
Old Business
- Ambulance Report: Mark gave the report.
New Business
- Treasurer Indemnification: Bailey moved, Kavajecz seconded the following:
Pursuant to Section 70.62 (2) of Wisconsin Statutes, the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Orienta obligates itself to pay to the County Treasurer all county taxes required to be paid by the town treasurer in case such town treasurer fails to do so.
Motion carried.
Information: Timber permits and Northwood Tech Board appointments.
Payment of Vouchers: Vouchers were signed, and bills were paid.
The next regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors will be Saturday, February 8, 2025
Following a motion, the meeting was adjourned.
