TOWN OF ORIENTA
REGULAR BOARD MEETING
June 14, 2025

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 am by Chairman Mark Hoefling. Members present: Hoefling, Supervisor James Bailey, Clerk Clyde Clauson and Treasurer John Tribys. Supervisor Troy Kavajecz was excused.

Approval of the Agenda: Hoefling moved, Bailey seconded approval of the agenda. Motion carried.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

Minutes: Motion by Bailey, second by Hoefling to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting of May 10, 2025. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: General fund – $196,487.85, highway fund – $39,531.87 for a total cash on hand of $236,019.72. Motion by Bailey, second by Hoefling to receive the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.

Road Report: Activities – replaced a couple culverts, gravel hauled, cemetery clean-up, other maintenance of machinery as needed. Xcel Energy will be upgrading their transmission line along Airport Road this summer.

OLD BUSINESS
Ambulance Report: Mark gave the report.

NEW BUSINESS
Bridge Aid Request: Bailey moved, Hoefling seconded to request bridge aid to replace a culvert on South Road. Motion carried.

INFORMATION: A Northwood Tech Board vacancy, the commercial electrical permitting process, and the Bayfield County Clean Sweep date were shared.

Payment of Vouchers: Vouchers were signed, and bills were paid.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors will be Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Following a motion, the meeting was adjourned at 8:48 am.
